It's not about selling, it's about the journey, it's about my soul.
I have spent a lifetime drawing, observing and practising. Attempting to see things in a personal way. Striving to balance strong emotions with disciplines demanded in the use of paint, pencils or prints. Combining my ability to draw with the essentials of design required on a canvas, paper or plate. Drawing or sketching everyday feeds new experiences and I feel great joy in creating and seeing the world with an artist's eye.
I have given upmost of my teaching after many years in both Adult Education and private classes. I exhibit in London and locally. In 2004 I won the NEAC Drawing Scholarship and attended their drawing courses. The year finished with an exhibition of my drawings at the Mall Galleryas part of the NEAC Annual Exhibition. This resulted in my being awarded the Arts Club Drawing Prize and led on to contributions to three further exhibitions at Burlington Fine Arts, Mary Penley Fine Arts at 99 Bishopgate and at The Arts Club in Dover Street. I also had the opportunity to give the ARtist on Focus lecture at the Arts Club. In 2006, as a result of a drawing/printing residency, I was given an exhibition of some twenty four of my drawings and prints in the Theatre Gallery at South Hill Park Arts Centre in Bracknell.
